Biography

 

I am a painter living outside of Franschhoek, Cape Town with my sculptor husband and 2 children. My work has always been consumed with the female body and the stories and histories carried in this body. I live in an area where the trauma of our violent history can be seen in the women I encounter every day. I do not claim to be their voice - I only wish to acknowledge them and affirm that I see them.
