Walker Bay Modern Art was established in 2015, and is situated in the seaside town of Hermanus - one of South Africa's premier tourist attractions. Located at 167 Main road, the gallery is housed in a charming, historic building with 350 m2 of modern, contemporary art space. The Overberg-style property, with heritage status, contains six distinct exhibition spaces, and allows for the showing of a diverse mix of art.

The beautiful courtyard in the middle of the gallery, which is also home to "The Gallery Cafe", provides an anchor for the space and encourages flow throughout its natural environment. Collectively, the spaces combine to create a warm, unintimidating and relaxing environment for clients, artists, and art collectors; but also for people who would just like to enjoy the art and surroundings. Weather permitting, artists can, from time to time, be seen applying their trade in the courtyard.

The gallery has dealt only with works of great significance in terms of execution, condition, aesthetics and value. In addition, Walker Bay Modern Art offers contemporary art that appeals to collectors worldwide.
