Biography

Christien De Paepe is a Belgian born professional photographer who moved in 2020 to Greyton in the Western Cape.

She got interested in the great classical painting traditions of the Flemish and Dutch 17th centuries, and consequently followed an 8 year academic course in the specific oil painting techniques then used.

In 2011 she started to exhibit her paintings in several group expositions in Flanders in Belgium and her paintings were represented by Antwerp gallery Pjez Unik from 2015 till her move to Greyton. Her works can be found in private collections in Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy.
