Biography

 

Situated in Cape Town, Stephan Beukes is a South African-born fine artist creating original abstract impressionistic art. With a background in law, he is a self-taught artist using oil paint as a medium. 

Inspired by different transportation modes, urban landscapes and figures, Stephan focuses on capturing the mood, atmosphere, and emotions evoked by the subject. 

In Stephan’s works of art, there is an integration of the parts into the larger whole, where the parts participate in creating the whole and take their meaning from it.

Working with monotones and adding hints of colour, Stephan wields his oil paint to make the unknown known leaving each masterpiece with a timeless feel, inviting you to observe and feel which piece resonates.
